i heard many automotive magazine range it from 5.5 -5.9. one member G-teched his (4.10's, Hpipe, diablo tune) to 5.1

was just curious what your 0-60mph times are with what mods?

Well I dont have a 99+ but my last track outing and this calculator http://www.tweak3d.net/videos/calcs/sixty.shtml say 3.34 for me.

5.5 is the factory rating for 0-60. 14.1 being the 1/4 mile, and both of those are about right give or take for the driver.

Well, From a dead stop punching it my stock gt convertible I went 0-60 in 7.1 sec on my stop watch. I was like this is f^cked up.

Is your stang an auto? if not then I would subtract alittle due to the convertible and the rest due to your driving.

My Gtech/pro gave me 5.22 on my best run, most were around 5.4-5.6 though.

either way you look at it your times are wrong considering a 0-60 sprint isn't based on a drag strip, it's a street measurment. either way your car is fast through the 1/4 mi

I dont doubt that one bit I was just going by that calculator.

I dont know if theres even an accurate measurement of that time without a wheel hanging off the car.

Next week its gonna get faster.

well gears will help, but whats you goal?

0-60mph, is such a vague an inaccurate measure of a cars performance. Granted with the stop light culture in the US you probably see more of it. But 30-70mph thru the gears will normally give a better example of how quick a car is on the road.

Or if it must be from a standing start 0-100mph shows the bigger picture as power and to an extent aerodynamics play a larger tole as opposed to gearing.

Example:

New C6 Z06 is rated at 3.7 seconds 0-60mph. Yet it takes nearly 4 seconds to do 0-62mph.

Why? Has it stops accelarating as quickly?

Well yes, in a way it has. It can do 0-60mph in 1st, yet a shift to 2nd is required to get to 62mph (100kph).

0-100mph

Stock Mustang should clock 0-60mph in about 5.5 seconds. Which is pretty good.

A stock TVR 4.2 Cerbera should do it in about 4.3-4.5 seconds.

So one could assume they are pretty close in performance wise.

However the Mustang will take some 14.xx seconds to get to 100mph where as the TVR will do it in 9.1 seconds.

suddenly the gap seems a LOT BIGGER.
