99 cobra at the track...need advice

well i'll be takin my 99 cobra to the track tomorrow night and was wondering the best way to launch the car, cuz i nkow the IRS is tricky, should i slip it? or dump it? and at what RPM's? any other advice would be great thanks. =Jeff

never driven a car at the track with IRS but all mod motors need to be reved...

slip the clutch at high rpms....like 4000+

remember, SOME tire spin is better than bogging...

feather it from like 3k and try a hard launch. find out what works for you.

Good luck at the track, I have never driven with an IRS so I can't give you any pointers, just wish you luck. Let us know what happens, I wanna get a 99+ cobra too and would like to know what numbers they are putting down.

I recommend you slip it at about 3,000, you'll get a good launch and you wont spin the tires to much. Also depends on what rubber your running.
