First of all what kind of hp gain can I expect from this swap with the mods in sig? Next how difficult is the swap it self? Has anyone done this what are some of the little problems that you ran into? I am getting this motor dirt cheap. Should I rebuild the motor before installing it? It has about 37,000 miles an runs as of the time it was pulled from the car(totaled in the rear end). Is the entire swap worth it or should I just swap the heads an intake? Please guys give me some direction hear I have to let the guy know what parts I want by the end of the week.

I'd say the whole swap is more practical and will go alot faster. I was considering just doing the headswap on my 98, but that would leave me with 100,000 miles on the bottom end...so i just swapped in a 99 motor with 28,xxx miles on it.
I say swap the whole motor. You'll save some money and some headaches(from what i've heard of headswap)

It would be worth it that, 96 Gt motor is junk. I swap in a new 99 4v Cobra motor in mine. As for the 99 swap in yours, you'll need to use coil packs and a fuel system.

The 96 computer can't fire the coil on plug that is why you need coil packs.

The 99 fuel system is a none return style, watts control the flow of the fuel pump, as for the 96 fuel system goes around and around. The way i fixed this problem on the cobra motor i bought a aero motive fuel pressure regulater. It was 150 dollars for the regulater.

This swap is very easy it should take you about a weekend to do.
