99+ v6 Eibach Pro Kit in a 2002 GT?

Hey guys,

Before I bought my '02 GT I had a 1999 V6 Coupe. I bought an Eibach Pro Kit (1.5'' drop) for it but never had the time to install.

Now that I have the GT, and these springs have been sitting in the garage for several months I'd like to know if they'll even fit in the GT. I'd imagine they would, but there are seperate part numbers for the GT and the V6. Also I noticed the Eibachs don't nearly drop as much for the GT as they do for the V6.

Minus the rear sway bar, quad shocks and 8.8'' rear end I'd imagine the overall suspension layout is similar between the two cars enough they'd fit. I'd just like some conformation if they do or DON'T.

I've heard some good things about the H&R Supersports but I'd like to keep what I have to avoid the hassle of having to lose money on selling the old springs and buying another set.

Thanks,

The springs WILL fit, but the problem is whether the car will sit level after you lower it and how it will ride. The V6 springs are designed for a V6-model Mustang which is lighter in the front end than the 4.6L so what may happen is the fronts may be too soft for your application.

I would try to sell you V6 kit on the Corral Classifieds or Ebay and get a new set of springs. I have the H&R SS springs and they are great. Many people also like the Ford C-springs (made by Eibach for FRPP) and the Steeda Sport springs. Might want to check them out too.
