Well i have a stock t-5 in my 91 gt with the mods listed below and in process/installing afr 185's, e/t streets, and 150 dry kit. Figure my t-5 wont last. My friend just messed up his 4r70w. but it came out of a 98gt i did some research and some people are in disagreement if you can do this. From what i found out can i elimate most of eletronics with a full manual valve body and a seperate switch for OD.
But the big question is how does everyone make it fit. Is it just a different flex plate or something going from a mod motor to a windsor?
If i can be done i plan to get the trans rebuild, converter, valve body, trans brake, and make it bullet proof. What would everyone recomend for that?
