....late last week and dropped off a nice new polished 75mm throttle body and polished upper plenum. Both are Professional Products brand and I got them off Ebay for about 60% of what it would have cost me in Canada. Now before everyone rags on me about why not spend some extra and get a big name like Accufab or BBK,I asked around and got mostly good responses from people who had bought them. The TB seems really good,no visible gaps, the motion of the throttle shaft is smooth and linear, the surfaces inside are smooth and everything looks great. The plenum had all the gaskets and adaptors I need for EGR etc. and the only thing(which I already knew about) was that the inside was finished in a rough cast, much like the factory is. Something that a 1/2 hour with a barrel sander and hi-speed tool should fix. Yes the bigger names already have that done but for half the money I don't mind spending the time.
Pics to come later....

Sweet. The big names are over rated anyways. I have a Accufab 75mm T-body and it isn't any better than anyone elses in my opinion. Just looks nice and shiny. Too bad though, I have a Granatelli Motorsports Plenum I could have sold you cheap. No longer need it with the KB.

Cool, now all you need are P&P'ed heads.

After serious thought I've decided to hold off 1 more year on the heads. I was under the car the other day swapping struts and removing rear control arms and had a chance to really look at my exhaust system. Frankly,it makes me sick to see all the chops, cuts, sharp angles, welds, and the total mishmash of factory and non-factory/non mandrel pieces. A good mid pipe, probably a MAC Pro-Chamber, and a good cat-back will find their way underneath this year. I'm just not sure which cat-back. I figure that I have to be giving up a few ponies with the current exhaust setup and it will make sure I reap the full benefits of the p&p next year. I'll post a pic of the old one when I yank it off and you'll see just how bad it is.

I have the rear end out of the car for the axle and diff swap, and I was getting a bit of a clunking noise from the passenger side of the car when driving last year. I pulled all the control arms to re-grease(DEAR GOD STOP THE SQUEAKING!!!!) and check all the bolts and mounts. Found that one of the upper control arm bolts was loose and allowing the arm just enough slop to cause a noise. I had swapped some aftermarket arms onto the car about 2-3 years ago. The struts are Tokico non-adjustables.

ahh what are you going with on this? just going with 31 spline? or you are going all out?

Mainly just a 31 spline change. I'd like to go hard with a nice Auburn or something but had to prioritize(spelling) where the money would go. 5.0 N/A is selling me one of his ford 31 splines and I've got Mose axles coming. I might get the tubes welded as well since it's out of the car for easier access.
