A/C line question, can I just fill er up?

Thanks to seth5.0(or slow5.0 now i guess) I almost got all my a/c parts back in. Once I do bend this line to fit around my supercharger, can I just hook up the freon thing and fill it up? I think I heard the guy at the shop say I need to vacuam something it. ANy one know? Oh and can I use a pipe bender to bend this ac hose or wat, I am scared to break this one too.

Be careful with the hose because it will break. All you can do is bend it in small amounts in different spots unitl it fits, or you could take it and have a custom hose made, that doesn't cost much. You will need to make sure the system has enough oil in it and then pull a vaccum on the system for at least about 30 minutes to get all of the moisture out of the system and then you can charge it with the proper amount. If you don't know a lot about ac work you may want to take it to a shop. It shouldn't cost too much to have it charged.

Were the parts you got new or used? If they were used they may have some oil in them already. If it were me I would just buy a 4oz bottle of oil and spread it out through the system. Pour a little in the compressor and then a little in the drier and a little in the condensor and so on until it is all in there.
