A post a day......

congratulations Matt!

nothing really new with the stang. i plan on finishing off the body before carlisle this year but not sure if i'll be able to get all the cash together for it.

my wifes heading out West for a few weeks vacation with the girls so I'm pulling my motor. I got a high RPM vibration and I'm not digging it. I opted not to break the shortblock apart back at build time so as to balance the entire rotating assy with my flywheel, PP, balancer and my thinking is I need to get that done. Bout 1300.00 to tear it down, balance, blueprint and put it back together. Gonna send my MAF out and re-cal for some 36's I have on hand, maybe tweak the cam some at re-assy time and call it done.

I'm still waiting on parts. Me and the landlord got into about my dogs. they didnt make me pay the pet deposit when I got them 2 years ago but now i have to or move. So there went the 400 i had to order parts with. oh well i might pull the engine and finish cleaning and painting the engine bay.

I'm really leaning toward painting my car yellow but it sucks that I didn't paint the engine bay when the motor was out. I may attempt to paint the engine bay with the motor still in because I really don't want to pull it.

I've been killing myself lately working on this garage re-organization thing. I am excited about it, but not getting enough sleep because of it.

And I keep screwing up because I get myself turned around and end up doing things in the wrong order or somethng and then I have to backtrack and try again.

Or I put a tool down somewhere and then can't find it 15 minutes later.

Sometimes I think am my own worst enemy.

Blackvert has got me redoing my garage again (the Garage Remodel thread). I did a remodel back in 2005 after I finished installing the 347 in the 94. Now I've ripped out the carpet and getting it ready for 55MIL thick Burgandy PVC floor covering. I'm trying to convince the wife in also buying me a shed for the backyard to get all the lawn equipment out of there (I don't even cut my lawn due to neck surgery). I'm throwing a bunch of crap away tonight.
LOL ... please feel free to tell your wife it is all my fault and, I apologize to her for it!

The thing is though, your garage is (was) already awesome.

It was but I've already tore into it. The carpeting has been removed and under that is trashed. Plus I have too much lawn equipment in there that I want to get out. The kids stuff is piling up in there. It's time for a complete overhaul. It's all your fault and that thread.

Not a bad idea I hid all of my wiring. Im going to plastic wrap the injector harness and top of the angine then everything is getting a spray of ceramic enamal gloss black. Im pulling the extra brackets and trimming them down for where I removed the smog pump and a/c as well.

what I was planning to do is remove all the wiring from the engine bay and let whatever is left lay on the engine, then wrap the engine with plastic and paint the bay.

That will work. Ours was a little half assed, but that's the way the whole car is. If it was my car I would have removed all the wires like you're doing, but this way was much quicker/easier and didn't turn out too bad.

Yesterday one of the tracks fell of my flight case. I would just buy another one, but they are like $200, and they keep saying they are going to ipad electronic books at work, and I don't want to spend the money right now. When I got home yesterday, my garage door opener jammed. So I started off the day with those 2 things to fix, and clean the litter boxes. Then one of my toilet valves jammed this morning and needs to be replaced. All I ever do is fix fricken toilets. I have 3 toilets in this house in constant rotation of being broken. I am so sick of fixing toilets.

Hear ya on the flight case....I puy my stuff on a scale one day before stepping to the plane....63 lbs. Flight pubs, helmet/o2 mask, NVG's, tool kit and most importantly, lunch box. That's not counting the deployed stuff, M4/M9, body armor and "break bag".....when a shoulder strap breaks it's time for E-pubs....

Think I posted in here a while ago that I was going after a Buell motorcycle....looked around not many out there, plus being discontinued...changed my mind....11 or 12 Triumph Speed Triple, just need an extra day off to go out to Albuquerque and get it....
