Well, after a long day on the road my new '94 is safe and sound in my garage! It was one hell of a trip, but after >450 miles traveled today in snow, freezing rain, etc I can relax. I have to thank Troy (yeahloh95) for going with me in these terrible conditions to get it. It'd take a small novel to explain why I spent my fuel system money on this car, but its late so let me sum it up by saying that I wanted a car that wasn't as wild as mine that I could just drive and enjoy. I also wanted another 94-95 because I know a lot about these cars and I have a ton of replacement parts for them.

Over the holidays I got to looking around the net at different 94-95's for sale. I was looking for a 94-95 GT that was high in miles and low in price. I had been looking in central/western PA when I decided to see what the Philly area had to offer and found this car. I wasn't looking for anything this nice, but it was too good of a car to pass up.

Its a '94 Rio Red Cobra with black cloth interior. Its also a non-mach 460 car which I actually like because it makes it rarer and lighter. I bought it from an extremely nice gentleman. He was the original owner and had ordered this car for himself back in '94. He drive it daily since getting it and racked up 153K miles, all the while leaving it completely stock! The only change he made to it was to add a ford factory alarm and a Kenwood CD player. I told him that he has more restraint than I as there is no way I could have done it. I told him I'd give it a good home. I promise that today's snow storm will be the last that this car will ever see! It made me want to cry seeing how dirty and salty it is, but I'll have to wait until it warms up a little and the ice and snow melt before I can get it all cleaned up but I'll post better pics when I do. Here's a few pics I took when I got it home. You can see the ice build up still on the car after an hour of being in my heated garage. Prior to this there was about 1/8" of ice covering the entire car. :(

Here are some pics that the owner provided to me prior to the sale. I'll take my own just as soon as I get a chance to clean it up.

Sweet...and from your other posts it looks like the cobra will be a better starting point with the cobra options for that autoX car you were wishing you could build. Sounds like you have the best of both worlds. I would kill to have a 2nd 94-95 that was a cobra either yellow or rio look at how sexy some on here are.

have fun.

nice find, looks just like mine when i bought it last year. however i do find if kind of odd that you only have the intake and side markers that would indicate cobra. mine says cobra just about everywhere you look ( the front emblem, floor mats, steering wheel, and brake calipers)

all Cobra's come w/ the Pony emblem on the front. It did not say Cobra on the rear bumper until after 95

Thats a really nice find. 153k miles shouldn't matter since its been maintained. This is the kind of Mustang I need. Just something nice, clean and mild. I went way overboard on mine and since have lost interest which is why I haven't touched it in months :(

What did you pay?

Nice find man. That reminds me of when I got mine which was about this time in January too, in '07. Mine is a Rio/Black cloth car also. It had the Mach 460 though, but the rear defroster was deleted on mine; does yours have the defroster?

Nice find Paul! I love the look of the red exterior with the black interior! I'm going to sell my Forest Green GT sometime this year and I'm hoping to get a GT with the same color scheme.
