Hello Fellas,
Just aquired a 95 GTS and had a few questions for those who know..
I have owned many fox body stangs in the past but have a few questions about my new 95.
I have read that the 94/95 stangs pull out timing @ wot, and if this is the case, does anyone know how much?
I was thinking that because of this, this little guy should react quite good to a 100 shot or so of spray..
I mean, if its already pulling timming, hell, it seems like a given..
I dont want to do an extensive ammount of mods, just a few choice ones, and for the $, spray is the way...
So, if any of you guys know how much/if any timminmg is pulled on the 94/95 gt, lemme know...
Thanks in advance,
L.

The timing does not reduce as far as say from 2,000-6,000 rpm it does have a realy slow adv. rate (that is good for bottle perf.) though. The total timing is preaty weak at around 26* total at WOT. With a 100shot and the base 10* timing you "should" be ok.

I say "should", if there is no ping at 14* base (10 is stock) then you will be fine with a 1range colder plug just to be safe.

If you ask me though...before I had the tweecer I ran a msd digital6+ it has a timing retard "switch" that when hooked up to a 12v source like the n2o arming switch it will pull timing out, you set how much. This way you can run 14* base timing when off the bottle and then the 9-10* for a 100-125shot when the bottle is on. Plus its an msd ign. box and that is going to aid the bottle anyway as the need for a stronger ign. is always better off with than without.

You most likely are talking about the tip in retard.

It happens when you are at a close to closed throttle position and then go wot.

You'll see a value of 5 for only about 1/2 to 2/3 of a sec.

I appreciate it fellas.
the 95 sure is diff than the 89,91,92 and 93 I had before..
I am thinking I am gonna have to go with a wideband air fuel to really get things right anyway.
