Grady, I studied this guys dyno numbers with yours and now I see what it is you are talking about. His torque builds up slowly where yours jump almost immediately. So is this where you believe the problem is in the torque numbers - i.e. torque is slow to build. Another thing I notice too is that in the original post he he never mention the type of gears he has - he just says the normal bolt ons. He could be running the stock 3.08s, which would affect the torque curve - am I right?
Again, I have the same cam but match with the Edel Rpm intake. So I was a little concerned when posters here said that the cam is a bad match for his combo. My understanding is that the Rpm II low end torque is a little soft. When I was building my engine, I recall a sales guy at the local speed shop tried to persuade me to get the Rpm II, but when I spoke with Ed Curtis he said it would be best to go with the Rpm for my combo because it provides better velocity.
Now, according to various post here and other sites, the true test is at the track and not on dyno charts. Now saying that I have gone against a couple of the newer vettes on the street (not the Z06) and to their surprise and mine somewhat, I was able to out run them. But once I get the N20 up and running, I will be looking for the Z06 too.
Again, I have no dyno numbers but on the street I'm able to handle the newer vette. Go figure Now, I can't wait to get some dyno numbers for comparison.
