Hey Everyone. Great site, great forum. I'm putting a 93 5.0 (all stock) in my 66 Mustang coupe. I have one problem that I haven't solved yet. What would be a good replacement filter that will fit on the STOCK air intake pipe? I went to my local auto parts store and looked through all through their filters, but none was a great fit. Any of you had this problem and solved it? Or, what filter will slip right onto the stock air pipe? Thanks a lot in advance.

Accell and K&N both make a wide assortment of cone filters that will work fine. I am assuming you are using the stock MAF sensor and that is where the filter will attach.

Well said, I'd look at K&N again...they make a plethra of filters.

Oh and on a lighter note, what part of NC? Near Chapel Hill? (you better be)

You could also go on ebay and try to make one of those $40 CAI things work for your application.

Or get creative with the elastic fittings to adapt up or down as needed (speaking about those little coupler pieces that attach the pipe to the meter, etc. on CAI's).

Good luck and welcome.

Any filter should fit some just may require more duct tape than others.

Just kidding of course and welcome aboard.
