ok so the wheel thing has been asked from just about every angle, but here is my question. Is the extra traction from changing the stock 17X8's for 17X9's that big of a difference and even if so is it worth the extra weight which I would think translates into a noticeable loss in performance. Any info is all ways appreciated and thanks in advance :SNSign:

No opinions or ideas?
is this the right size rim for our 05-07's? Ford Mustang Bullitt/Bullet Style 17x9" Silver / Machined lip aluminum wheels (Car rims) Lug-pattern 5x4.50" +24mm offset (5.94" backspacing)

If so what size tire would I put on this for a daily driver that thinks every red light is a staging tree and every corner with more than one lane is a race?

Go with 18x9.5's Wrap 'em in BF Goodrich KDW's- Good ride, good traction. Cheap enough to replace every year. Check my sig, KDW's with those mods = 1.09 G's on the track.

+24mm offset will not fit well. stock is +45mm.

unless you take the car to the track, a few pounds wieght difference is not noticeable no matter what anyone says. on my last car, 16 inch wheels weere stock and i upgraded to 33 pound 18in wheels, b/c they looked good. never noticed the car feel sluggish or slower.(wasnt exactly a powerful car by any means but still quick) but fior your question, what i can answer is the wider the tire up front the better the front grip around those 2 or 3 lanes corners we all love so much
