I'd take a shot at some 245's on your front 18x9 wheels. 18x9 wheels with 245/40 tire don't really fit much different than 17x9 with 245/40 tire. I think 17"wheels are nice but once you get eighteens the seventeens just look a bit small. I'll probably never go down in size now that i've gone from 16" to 17" and now 18". IMO it's the perfect size wheel for our Fox.I have 18x9s with 235/40s all the way around. I posted some earlier pics on this that shows my rims protruding more than the Nitto's. Don't really like the way it looks. Maybe a different brand tire would be better or 8" wheels in the front.

Unless your AutoX'ing or doing road course racing there really is no need for that much tire up front. Kudos for fitting that up front but you're not able to get your car too low (if that's what you like) with that wide of a tire. Pretty much kicks coil overs to the curb as well which I just won't live without ever again on a Fox.That would be my recommended tire size as well. How it fits all depends on the offset/BS of the wheels
I didn't do any fitting on purpose. I bought these rims with tires on them. I was actually thinking they were 245's until I looked last night. I think my fender well opening is about 25 1/2" from the ground. Not sure how much my car is lowered. In that case, 245 is as narrow as I'd go on a 9" rim
X2 same on mine. I'm running nittos out back and they do run slightly narrower than some brands. 275's are fairly common on 17x9 setups.I run 275s on a 17x9 and they fit perfectly. Wow that front wheel does poke out a bit far. To be technically correct, it's a real pain to measure offset on a wheel. What you will be measuring is backspacing, the distance from the mounting face of the hub to the inside edge of the wheel. Offset measures the hub mounting face to the center line of the wheel. I'm only saying this so we are on the same page when you return with a measurementFrom looking at that picture your backspace on that wheel is too low but probably typical of a 4 lug fox front wheel.
This is my Fox when I was 4 lug with 03' Cobra reps. They're a 17x9 with a 5.75" back space and fit OK in the wheel well.
I run 275s on a 17x9 and they fit perfectly. Didn't have to roll the fenders or flip the quads. I don't have much room to spare though. My car is dropped about 1.25" the back, BTW.
