I have / had friends like this all my life. Mostly chevy fans. But these days one drives a hyndai and one still has his camaro but is sits in his garage and hasn't moved in 8 years, the other one has a small block 400 in his S-10 truck and it hasn't ran in 10. So after all the ford trash talk I am the only one who is left who wrenches on his car and yes its a FORD. Just the other day I was working on it in my parents driveway and the neighbor comes over, she just so happens to be camaro boys mom, first thing she say is "Fix or Repair Daily" so in my head I was thinking really, is that all you got! So I looked at her and I told her to Kiss My F&*king ass, and well that shut her up. I don't take any of that crap from people, I work my ass off to buy the things that I like, not to please anyone else. The worst is the crap I take for the 05, I am always asked why I whimped out and bought the six cylinder, they always stop talking when I tell them to pony up the money and I will drive a GT with the higher insurance payments. Sure its a six but it turns heads and gets lots of compliments. I did however get some respect for my 93 fox coupe from a LS1 Trans Am guy, he likes that fact that it still looks like a 4 cylinder model! So they are not all that bad I guess.

or just ask them how much a set of headers or a cam costs, **** or an intake all that stuff is uber bucks on a LSx

2 grand in a 5.0 will run circles around a stockish ls1 until there are heads and cam and other crap involved

dude if your concerned with going fast, or shutting him up, you need to manually unlock your doors and throw money at the motor.

i was wasnt saying the 4.6 was any cheaper, **** you gotta buy 2 cams for a 4.6 and some shorties cost what i paid for long tubes on my car and im sure you were talking about the pushrod 5.0 and i couldnt agree more
