Anyone ever ship a transmission?

I will be shipping my Lentech AOD this week once I recive the payment. Trying to figure out the most economical way to do this? I called UPS and what I will probably end up doing is throwing it on a pallet and wrapping it up and having UPS pick it up at my house.

check out one of frieght companies. Ive used CCX and ROADWAY, both times i had no issues.

You could get qoutes pretty quick from those companies.

I tried a online quote for roadway and they want my life savings and my 2 nuts!!!!!!

When I received my 3550 it was just shipped it heavy duty corrugated box via UPS ground. But you should look into UPS Freight (formerly Overnight). I know my company pays $45 a shipment to zones 1 and 2 (NC is zone 2). Do you have any buddies that work in warehouses that could ship it through their company, that would be the cheapest way.

I would look into DHL as well. A guy here bought a truck cap that was shipped by DHL for a reasonable price.
