I was looking into getting this kit after all of my engine work is done. I would really like to go with h&r springs, bilstein s/s, and MM c/c plates, but handling isn't quite important enough to spend well over $1,000 on parts alone. How good is this FR kit and will it even require c/c plates? It's only supposed to drop my car 1", which is all I really need anyway, so I'm thinking I don't need plates.

BTW......The GT goes into MD for the PI swap and comp cams on June 12th. I'll be sure to get some vids and scan my dyno sheet to show you guys.

You will not need CC plates for a 1" drop. The car's handling will be better than stock and the ride will be fine. Unless you are a pro racer, you will not be able to out drive that suspension setup. It wouldn't hurt to get SFC's since that is what all Bullits have from the factory.

Already got 'em :nice:

I put that on my car just over the last week. So far I like the way it handles. It feels a lot more planted going around corners. I haven't put too many miles on it due to working lately but I think for the $$ it's worth it. It's kind of hard to tell if it's dropped the full amount so far in 50 miles or not.

What is your overall goal as far as your suspension is concerned? Do you want a little better handling, or do you want to rip it up in the turns?

If you want the later, this isn't for you. I had this suspension and for me, it wasn't up to par. I eventually changed it out for H&R's, Bilsteins and a MM PHB. Totally different car now.

But if you want the former, it will probably suffice, depending on your expectations of course.

Well for now, I think this kit might be enough for me. I'd eventually like it to handle like a champ, but for right now I just want to lower it some, but I want to make sure I do it right and buy all of the parts that I need. Later on down the road, after I am done with power mods, brakes, rims, tires, etc., I'll probably change out for H&R's and Bilsteins.

if you "eventually" want to rip into corners, dont bother with this kit. i have the HR race springs, bilsteins, steeda swaybars, and subframes.... my LCAs and PHB are in the mail currently, and its still not enoiugh for me. so if you want to rip the turns, just splurge and get the bils, HR, CC plates or dont bother. why spend even more money?

"At some point you just have to buy a different car".

But yeah what you said, the FRPP kit might excite you for a week, maybe less, until you will want more stability,(if you are in it for the handling)
