Anyone heard of DC SPORT lowering springs for 94-98's?

Someone's selling a set of DC SPORT lowering springs and it just got my attention because I thought DC only made import stuff. They're supposedly a 2" drop all around, and the guy selling them said that he didn't need c/c plates or any c/c adjustments when he put the springs on. Judging by the pic (see attachment), I find it very hard to believe, but is that possible? He also said that the stock shocks/struts were used with them, and they never bottomed out ... I have read much speculation that more then an Eibach ProKit's drop could possibly cause the stock struts/shocks to bottom out ... again, possible that this isn't true?
Basically, I'm just tryin to get some opinions before I consider making the purchase.

The car was LOW AS HELL. I was amazed at how far the drop was.. But it looked good!

I see no pic but i love my low ass car with sportlines and no isolators but more than 2 inches is just insane and won't be good for the car

You mite as well get H&R Supersports they are a reputable company and are well known.
They will also give you the 2" drop you are looking for.

You will need CC plates with that low of a drop, unless of course you don't mind buying new tires every 6 months or so.

Nope, but for an obvious post like that it sounds like the guy wants to get hosed

Yes you are going to need c/c plates with that. Just because the guy didn't have them on his car doesn't mean it's a good idea. I have a friend who is the same way. He has springs that lowered his car 2" and that's it. I keep telling him he need to get c/c plate and shocks/struts, but he keeps saying "no my car doesn't need them" as if his saturn ion is some modern handling marvel or something.

He will learn one day when something happens to his car lol.
I highly subjest C/C plates for anything over a 1 1/2" drop
and you should put new struts and shocks on your car if you drop
your car period.

I would never buy srings unless I was aware of the spring rate.

I call bs on the guys car being alinged properly if it actually was down 2 inches. even if his was does not mean yours will be.

your shocks do not have as much to do with bottoming out as the actual spring rate. the shocks just dampen the rebound and compression of the the spring.

you can run stock shocks and struts with any springs you want they just will not last or perform the same as they were not desinged for the combo.

If you buy them and run stock shocks and struts I think the the car will ride like crap, need CC plates for correct alinment, but will proably look great with 2" drop.

A post like what? I'm clearly not being gullable or looking to get "hosed" since I'm asking opinions and NOT giving this guy any credit yet ... If I believed everything he was telling me (ie that c/c plates wouldn't be needed), then I wouldn't have even started this thread, yanno? He does sound pretty sketchy, so I decided to go with a slightly used Pro Kit instead....it's on it's way

The 2" drop was a little too much for me anyway ... it just didn't look right in the picture (which apparently didn't work for many of you...sorry). The pics I've seen of the Pro Kit on SN95's looks like exactly what I want - or so I'm hoping at least. I dont' have the money to go with new shocks/struts right now, so I'm going to wait till they actually NEED to be replaced, then i'll get some KYB's I think. c/c plates aren't a necessity with the ProKit's 1.5" drop, right? I'm going to have an allignment done after I get the springs on anyway, so if there is some camber/caster issue then they'll take care of it anyway.

I really appreciate all the input ... great to have a place like this for a "noob" like myself.

id get a real setup, like some HR's and some Bilsteins or Illuminas.

DC crap is just that. crap. its meant for cheap ghetto ebay ricers who want that mad tyte drop but cant afford it on their minimum wage, and dont give 2 ****s about actual suspension geometry because gran turismo taught them that no matter what, a lower center of gravity=better handling. what they fail to know is too low can hurt it more than stock.

if you do get those, price out some CC plates as well as some struts designed for such a drop.

Springs is one thing I would never go cheap on.
