Hi Is there really a diffrence from one of there to one that Edlebrock makes or bbk makes.

I am going to get the Edelbrock intake rpm II. It say that you need to use a 70mm with it. I have a 65 on the car now. So I will need a new throttle body. So is Accufab really worth it. I see they have a race version also.

please tell me you thoughts on them.

A OK

I honestly don't believe there are significant differences between the manufacturers. I owned a BBK 70 mm TB and upgraded to a 75 mm Accufab. They both did their job. BTW my Accufab is bolted to a Edelbrock EFI (1st generation).

The machining on the Accufab is far better then any of the cast TB, the Holleys and Wilson Manifold pieces are also nice.

The Accufab flows more cfm at the same size then the others. The race version does not have a provison for the EGR on the spacer or the port for the hose to the valve cover.

Well the BBK Edelbrock is the same...

And the accufab has a much higher quality and as Rick said, flows better. I say go with the accufab.

The BBK and edelbrock was the same now maybe different as BBK no longer makes it for edelbrock. I like Ford for TB cause they are cheaper and are as good as stock ones. Got the money go with Accufab it is the leader.

A Pipe

I don't know. Maybe me's got to learn something here. A TB is a pipe with a gate valve. No rocket science here. How do two throttle bodies of the same diameter flow differently - different plates maybe? I don't see how this makes a significant difference.

The machining is nice to look at, but I've never heard of a TB wearing out. We're not talking cylinder heads. As I said I owned a BBK and wouldn't say the Accufab is greatly superior in its functioning (not withstanding the larger size).

Jay, I run the accufab tb and the quality is good! If I were you, port the inlet opening on that rpm 2 intake and run a 75mm TB, trust me
