Anything I can do to get my car to stop tracking?

The roads around here are getting good ruts in them and my car just wont stop tracking into them. Its bad I have to continue to hold the steering wheel hard. The car doesnt pull right or left on a good road but if there are ruts it wants to rip the wheel out of my hands, well not that bad. Alignment doesnt help. This is my second new edge that does this. It wasnt near as bad with my 05. My wifes Impala doesnt have this issue either. My car is lowered 1" in the front.

It tends to happen with wide front tires especially ones with directional treads. I have BFG G-force sports on mine and they are really bad. They have two channels that cicle the entire circumference of the tire and i think that is the part of my tread that really likes to catch and follow imperfections in pavement. When i put my snow tires on in the winter its nowhere near as bad (they still are directional but the tread pattern is not nearly as aggressive). Your best bet would be to try a different set of tires.

Mine does it too with bridgestone Potenzas.

At highway speeds i have to hold on the the wheel good. Tire brand plays a huge role. I have a spare set of rims with Kumho 712's on them and they didn't do it at all. It didn't do it with the stock goodyears either, but with the bridgestones they did it from day 1 and got worse as the tires wore out.

I am putting yokohama's on the front soon, so we will see what happens then
