Best time as of now is 12.7 at 107.1 on drag radials-1.90 60ft. I have ported gt40p heads with 5 angle valves. I have a welded and ported explorer, 1.7 rockers, crower cam .468/.486 218/224@.50 lift, longtubes, off road h with dumps, underdrives, electric fan, 70mm tb, tko and 3.73's. Still speed density too. Car is a gt, weighs around 3200 without driver. I figure I should drop around 4 tenths if I can get my 60 ft times down to low 1.7's. I also want to switch to a stand alone dfi, rpm 2 intake, and a custom fti cam. Would steeper gears be in order??
Thanks
Ted

I think that with the more aggressive cam, the steeper gears, and new engine management that should make it more of a possiblilty, but i see the heads might be holding you back a little. I do think its possible so try it out first then maybe do a head swap.

i ran a best time of 12.3 with all seats removed and spare tire from my lx with unported gt40p heads. i run slicks and skinnies with 4.10 gear though. i want to get closer to the 12.0s with mine too. but i want to do it with out porting my heads first. i say you should get some slicks and launch that thing. with a 107 trap speed you will get a lower 12 for sure.

i had 373 gears first but the 410s helped keep the rpms up during shifts. i would never put a different gear in again.

Throw a 100 shot of Nitrous on her and maybe a bit more cam with definetly a programmed Mass Air set up, and 11's shoudn't be a problem.
