Autolite 24

Pulled a plug today and it says Autolite 24 on it. Is this the correct plug for AFR185s?

Should be a 3524 or 3224 something like that. But a 24 is a one step colder heat range plug (like you would use with forced induction). You may want to use a 25 which is the factory heat range plug.

3924 is the one for N/A with AFR and 3923 for forced induction!

You need 39 in front of the part number to get the correct reach plug. 3923 -3924 is correct.

So if mine just says Autolite 24 am I using the completely wrong plugs? I'm moreso curious about the lettering on the plugs themselves. If you actually have 3924s, does it say Autolite 3924 on them?

EDIT: I'm just steaming a bit because these plugs are shorter and thus could possibly be the cause of my rich condition?

3924's.

the 3924's do have a longer reach and a smaller socket size is required. The smaller socket size is a plus with headers, ect. Makes getting to it a bit easier.

Autolite makes 24s and 3924s. Plugs should say 3924

the 24 wont even make it in to the chamber with the AFR 185 heads you need 3924

Yeah, I know I need the 3924s. I thought that's what I had. Is it possible that having the wrong spark plug would give me a major decrease in power or even be the cause of my rich condition?
