Engine *Block Question-is it the same spec*

Hey all,

I’m searching for a block to start a build & just had a question; will a block out of a ‘94 fit into my ‘90? Just so happened to be the first one I found, and it is JUST the block.

Such as engine mounts, mounting to AOD, head fitment…

302 Windsor is a 302 Windsor etc,. and so on.

Technically there are some very minor differences...but they are interchangeable and essentially the same block.

87-90 block would be the E7TE block. 1991+ Block would be the F1SE block.

The F1 block is a little thicker around the cylinder walls and has the provision for a knock sensor.


I second making sure the main caps come with the block, otherwise i'd pass.
