That’s one party I’m familiar with. Just take your time Kabuki. Are you going with the stock color?

finished about 95% of the sanding last night after a 4 hour session with a friend, next steps are to finish the front bumper, remove the body panels and prep to cut in the jambs, tops of the fenders and underneath the hood. maybe next weekend i'll get some paintwork done.

Just read through the thread, nice work !
I've done some small diy body and paint work and until you do some you don't
realize how much time and effort it takes to get it to turn out good , oh and $ .

**Update**

The car is completely re-assembled panels all lined up. I ended up going with an Aftermarket front bumper due to the pain in the ass it has been to get the OEM cleaned up, So this Saturday we'll finish some last minute things up cut the hole for the cobra grill insert, tape off the cheese graters, wash the car, vacuum etc. the original plan was to paint the car this weekend but the weather isnt cooperating so hopefully we have better luck next weekend. The car will be going to my buddies shop and sprayed in a professional booth so it can be baked and brought home that night.

another note if anyone is using the MRT hood struts, I ran into issues causing the hood to raise up in the back i was all out of room to adjust what did you do to adjust them? instead of messing with it right now i'm just going to use the stock hood prop.

**quick shot of the hood installed before we fit the bumper

Looking good, but I recommend painting that car with all the trim and bumpers off Kabuki. Less risk of peeling and better paint adhesion on all the edges. Its a little more work but you would be better off in the end. Just my two cents

I agree with blake, my 92 vert was painted with the bumper covers on and after a couple years they started to chip/peel between the covers and the fenders.

Car is painted and back at my house,

We painted it Friday night and got the car home around 3:30am so it ended up being a very long day. I'm extremely happy with the color and how everything turned out, I've been itching to get it back together as soon as I took it apart. I wasn't been able to get a good shot in the sun and the weather is going to be taking a turn for the worse this week so it probably won't see the light of day again until spring or it's complete.

The color is G2 - Redfire if anyone was wondering

here are a bunch of pics.

Long overdue update,

I've been cranking on this thing for a while now since getting painted trying to get everything back together and ready for Spring, *can't come soon enough* we still have to wet sand the car and will be doing that prior to installing the quarter windows other than that things have been going pretty smoothly so far.

What i have been working on,

-Repainting the interior
-speaker/stereo upgrade *essential*
-Re-wiring / soldering pillar pod general cleanup
-5-lug conversion / Cobra brake upgrade
-new wheels XXR 521 18x8.5 / 18x10
-installed Eibach Sportlines
-redoing exhaust, *tailpipes fix like garbage*
-reinstalling body panels
-installing new mouldings/trim/door handles
-fixing quarter windows

I hope to get the car back on ground in a couple weeks I have a few more kinks to work out on the brake conversion and ordering tires now that the holidays are over.

here are a few pics of some progress

Born-on dating.

A good number of plastic parts on the interior have similar mold casts. Maybe not as detailed, but you can find the year pretty easily. The t-5's have the date cast into them as well.

Seat backs have the best though.
