Could a bad ECT cause car not to be able to idle? I was reading about them, but not sure if it would be to the extent I am having. I got a code 116 which is an ECT. Also my engine always seems hot, but not showing on gauge. Outside fender walls so hot you cant touch and it gets hot fast. I have coolant, but my low coolant light always comes on. Either this is caused by bad ECT sensor, or maybe an air bubble? How do I bleed it? Also I cant keep it running to get it out prob..

Also which one ? there is 2. The one with plug right?

The low coolant light is triggered by the sensor in the overflow/expansion bottle. Rad cap needs to hold pressure to a minimum of 16 psi. A ECT reading low temps in error will cause the engine to run in open loop and run rich. At the other end it could be pulling timing. So yes, it's an important sensor as they all are.
