Bassani Catback just arrived!!!

I like my flows, just need an H pipe cause its too quiet.

Dont mind what everyone else is saying. Its not like you are really accomplishing anything for yourself by saying you layed on your back for 2 hours to install it. I did mine myself. If I still worked at lincoln with access to my tech's bay with lift and air tools, it would have been a breeze, but on my back in my buddy's driveway with the car on jackstands was a complete pita!

My thoughts exactly

not everybody likes wrenching.. and not everybody should wrench.. take it too your shop if you want too.. us mechanics need to eat too.. :)

I've been in the "wrenching" business for 20 years.
I just don't have access to a lift anymore since Dad sold the business and retired.
And I just really don't want to crawl under the car with ramps that I dont have and cut out the old exhaust with a saw that I dont own.
And, perhaps you could read the entire thread before adding your $.02 and sarcasm.

Yea I installed mine myself! Don't weld it in why do you think they have it setup to bolt it up! so you can put welds NO! I have had my exhaust for over 2 years an no problems!

Hey, weren't you looking for a Cobra front bumper???
I emailed you about a red one I saw on Ebay that included the fog lamps!

Which ever way you decide to install it is fine.

I forgot to mention that when I installed mine I already had the bassani catted x-pipe on it. The previous owners of my Bullitt had it installed and was running the stock catback. So, when my wife turned the ignition, it REALLY came to life!

If you are running your stock mid-pipe with 4 cats, the initial impression might not be as great. Especially since you are already running aftermarket muffs. This is just my guess however.

actually they do sound loud even with the stock H-pipe at idle they are tame but they sound sweet cruising and really scream at WOT

I just can't get over how expensive the Bassani cat-back is for my car ($729.99), let alone the 03-04 Cobra ($799.99). That is insane, but it's Bassani, and they have WONDERFUL products.

That's why I got the BX version ($399).
I live in Phoenix where there is no such thing as rust :nice:
The welds and tips are still stainliess though.

My Bassani catback just went on about 10 days ago. Honestly, it was a PITA to install because my car is lowered so when i put it on jackstands the rear still didnt come down enough for me to be able ot snake the new bigger pipes over the axle. Ended up driving it to a shop with my exhaust runnin straight out of the Bassani mufflers. They did the rest and i still felt like i accomplished something. I'll be under the car again this Friday doing my X-pipe and i already know how much of a PITA its gonna be.....damn Passenger side!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
