Battery relocation track rules??

I was wondering what the regulations / rules are for running a trunk mounted battery...do you need a cutoff? I was planning on getting the summit kit for $42...I only race at California speedway for the street legal drags if that helps..thanks

Agreed: NHRA requires a cutoff switch that totally shuts the car down anytime you relocate the battery. It also requires a metal firewall between the driver and the battery. That could mean a steel/aluminum/approved poly battery box or a some sort of firewall. Technically seats in a trunk do not qualify as a firewall, but you can usually get by with this.
