BBK SSI Intake Warning

he never said anything about BBK not taking car of him, he never mentioned any e-mails or phone calls with BBK, there is NOTHING wrong with BBK headers, threads like this are BS, there were people who told you not to buy the intake, you did anyways, and now your complaining about it... talk about a class act

im sure if you actually took 5 minutes to call BBK they would have worked something out... and your comment about aluminum heads being "like surgery" working on them... i dunno, ive had my lower on and off my heads probly 5 times and never had a single problem
Reading comprehension FTMFW!!!!

90lx coupe, if he heard about so MANY problems beforehand there is a good chance he would not have purchased the item. I know people who have had problems running an edelbrock performer rpm II intake but also people who have not had problems, so just because of the ones that have, i should not buy it? that is saying none of us should ever modify our cars in any way, because we all KNOW there is a chance of things not winding up to be as perfect as we imagined it. my point is, had he been aware, different story.

one search on google and you come up with plenty of people that had this same problem. I read at least 3 of these threads when i was searching for BBK fuel rails, yea its scary, but to say that everything BBK makes is junk is pretty silly, bottom line BBK makes throttle bodies and exhuast parts, they are no edelbrock or trick flow, and one look at the fuel rail design on that intake and i wonder why anyone would even think of running one. I bought BBK fuel rails, they leaked, and the bolts were the wrong size thread that holds the rail to the intake, i got them as a last resort, and it backfired on me. i had a good feeling they were going to leak, but i bought them anyways, but i didnt run to the forums crying about it, i just returned them.

From this thread...
i tried to tell you that before you even used it. dude i told you two years ago it was garbage when i found out you had it. but nooooo wont listen to me. :notnice:

Said the same thing, oh well.

Why have so many threads lately resulted in personal attacks? Is it just me, or is 5.0 talk getting even MORE unfriendly?

Anyway, my experience is that ALL BBK parts are sub-par. Not really junk, but not really great either. I have a BBK TB/EGR, BBK headers, and a BBK shifter in my car. They all serve their purpose, but the TB developed a pasty scale on the machined aluminum surface, the headers had clearance issues on BOTH sides from day one, and the centering springs on the shifter went limp after one season and I had to replace them with hardware store stuff.

But I also have a buddy who runs a SSI intake on his car and likes it. I believe it is even one of the early ones.

+1 It's no secret I love(d) stangnet. I used to post on here daily (or multiple times daily). However, I've been shying away from this site a lot lately because of all the keyboard tough guys. Oh well.

My original feeling, after meeting so many, was that 90% of mustang owners were *******s who think they're Mike Tyson, and that their mild bolt-on car does 8 second quarters. That opinion changed for a while. Now it's coming back.

I hear ya man. To me, its fine and dandy to have differing opinions and experiences. That's what keeps threads interesting and alive. But its the guys who feel the need to belittle and insult and degrade that ruin the fun of everybody else here that I get tired of.

Sorry, this is going OT. BBK blows donkey balls. :nice:
