Been gone but back and heading to the track!

I've been on a hiatus as I flirted with another car, financial stuff, and just decided my GT is the only car for me. There is no room for anything else in my life. Speaking of which, much to the applause of some friends of mine, I'm putting her on the track in Kershaw, SC a week from Saturday. This will be my first experience in performance driving, and considering I drive this car everyday, this should be interesting. Nothing new done to the car, but I do have some Hawk pads (front and rear) and some Steeda UDP on the way to be put on the car before the track date. I'm looking forward to it. My buddy is taking a 1995 Cobra R up there and we'll be able to take some good pictures/video which I'll provide some links to after it's said and done.

a GTO friend of mine put performance brake pads on before a track day and they ate his rotors. Be careful!

Another simple mod that is usually highly recommended is swapping the brake fluid. Get something with a higher boiling point - usually DOT 5.

DOT 5.1, DOT 5 is silicone based.
