Best Place To Buy King Cobra Clutch?

Hey guys, i have a 99 GT with the Windsor engine and im getting a new King Cobra clutch. First of all, i wanna know if im supposed to get the 10.5" or 11" clutch assembly since i was told that our cars have the cobra crank and run 11" clutch is this wrong?
- Also, where is the best place to get a King Cobra Clutch for a good price? The performance shop i went to wanted to charge me 190 for the clutch and 225 for install. THANKS

www.stangstore.com has it for $161. You should be able to get it installed for around $125 - $150 I would think. If you have a friend and some mechanical ability though, it is not a hard install. If you have access to a lift and a tranny jack it would only take you about 3 hours or so.

Don't do it. Spend the extra $50-100 and get a SPEC or Centerforce clutch. My King Cobra lasted about six months.

I was going to say the same thing. DONT buy the King cobra they're not that great. Get a centerforce for a little bit more you get a whole lot more. And I had my clutch installed for $100

Does the centerforce clutch require more effort to hold the clutch down? I sometimes see some really heavy traffic.

I have a Centerforce clutch in my '85 GT-it takes less pedal effort than stock. Great clutch.

I believe they have two different kinds...you can get the easy one and i think it give you a little less holding power or you can get the tight one which I think is supposed to handle up to 550-600 hp. Not positive though, anyone else got any feedback on that?
