So some of you know that over the winter I added some new go-fast goodies to my 01 cobra vert:
305ci big bore
FR500 valvetrain kit
Fox Lake stage 2 ported heads
billet oil pump gears.
After a year of research, Hensler Racing got the nod. (Columbus, Ohio)
After the build, I drove the car back from Hensler's to Detroit. It pretty much sat in the garage for 1.5 months. Now that i've put about 700 miles on the motor, i thought it was about time for a serious dyno-tune. Lidio (alternative auto) had the honors of the tuning. Now anyone that knows Lidio, knows that he does NOT tune for every last ounce of power. Rather, he tunes for power & safety. My snake's A/F is floating around 12.8 and the timing is 21-24 degrees. And for some reason, adding additional timing did not improve the power figures. It performed best around the factory settings. PS: my stock intake is killing my peak numbers. The dyno run in green is from a dyno-day at lidios last October. That was the last dyno before the big bore project. I included two of the better post big bore dyno runs. Enjoy...
