Biggest Tires that are not Drag Radials

Need some advice. I know that there are tons of threads about tires and rims, however I have seen nothing about what I am looking to find out.

I have some new 18X10 Deep Dish Chrome Bullitt rims and I need to see what kind of tire I can get that is not a drag radial. I see that Nitto has 295s that are not DR's but they are too tall. I will go to DRs if I have too, but would rather have a tire that lasts longer since they are so dang expensive and I do not plan on racing my car.

Any info would help. Size, Brand, where to buy, etc. Anything like this would be great. I am itching to get the rims on, but don't want to rush into the wrong tire since they will cost like a $1000.

Thanks! :flag:

Are they the 18x10 or the 18x10.5? If it's an 18x10.5, you can squeeze a 315 on there, either way you'll be fine with a 295.

I believe you'll want a 295 35 18, where the Kumho MX is probably your best value, although there are a good number of tires in that size, (check the tire rack). For the 315, you'll want a 315 30 18, which will run you big money, since your only real choice is the pirelli and the Michelin Pilot Sport (I'd go with the Michelin)

To save a lot of money, you could go with a 285 35 18, but if you're running the 10.5" rim, that might run too small. TireRack has the Sumitomo in that size though, which runs a downright affordable $177.

Good luck whichever way you go!

DON'T SHIP FEDEX
Off the subject, are you sure your neighbors didn't steal whatever you lost? FedEx has a nasty habit of dropping packages on doorsteps, ringing the bell, then running back to their truck.
Who signed for it? Always ship with a signature required.

Actually, I shipped the item from Orlando, but it never left the hub. So I know someone stole it especially since you have to tell them what you are shipping. To make matters worse the agent didn't enter the insurance info in the computer, so they said there is nothing they can do about it, I got screwed  :nonono:

Hey thanks guys. Good info.

My rims are only 10" not 10.5". So it looks like I will go with the 295/35/18 Kuhmo MX. Seems like the best deal. May move up to 315/30/18, but would have to find a different manufacturer.

I am thinking that since I need them mounted, I will just see what a couple local shops have in stock and make my decision.

Any more info is welcomed.

Thanks again!
