Actually, looking back through this thread, all your post have been BS.. So why dont you and I call a truce.. You and I can act as if we both dont exist.. This way, its easier for you to ignore this thread.. In fact, everyone can look back and agree, you have been posting negative things here from your very first post.. I have even kicked back props to you for the fine work you did on your japanese car.. Its obvious, you dont like American cars, and there is no need for any of us to try and change your mind man.. So just do us all a favor ok?

The "Z comment" was for Makoto's comments that we all should have started with a GT instead of a V6. Which is, of course, a rediculous statement.

Here is a quote from Jimp, which also shows your causing too much trouble, and hate the V6 Stangs..

duner

Look back through this thread Duner, and please quote one positive or neutral comment from MakotoS13.. If you cant find one, then I would expect you to take action at some point for his abusive behavior towards V6's.. In fact he does'nt even own a Mustang.. So with this info, I know you will make sure we are not harrassed by him after today! Thanks!

I put him on ignore a while back. Seems like he's just trolling.

If you cant add anything constructive MakotoS13, then dont even reply in this thread man!! I have actually given you enough respect that I dont feel you should make dumb replies here.. Are you just bored man or what?

it was a JOKE, genius. call me a troll and say i hate V6 stangs, i've defended the six packs tons of times and haven't once said its an inferior specimen. i've pointed out flaws that some of you have overlooked. i've noted that you should check the ranger boards for info on the 4.0's tranny options.

eat it with mayo n cheese buddy cause i've actually contributed to this discussion.

Unfortunately, he doesn't even fit in with his own kind.. :nonono:

So, let us just ignore him. It appears that he is somewhat infamous for his bad attitude and one line quips and cut-downs. Take the HIGH ROAD and just ignore him if it is offensive to you. :nice:

MakotoS13 - Your insights would be better observed and reviewed if, in fact you were somewhat articulate and spoke respectful. I have spent an hour reviewing your posts on the Nissian and Zilvia forums and you conduct yourself in the same manner. I feel that you do have valid points in many of your posts, however, your affectiveness is lost in your delivery. You cannot force people to see your opinion, even if in fact they may be valid. So, please, try to understand that in life you will get farther in trying to influence people if you are respectful and fair. Understand that everyone has a right to their opinion and dreams, even if you do not agree. If you have stated more than 3 times the same information or item and it is not being received, walk away. It is for the best in all you do in life. :nice:

can't really argue with infamous but my attitude is realistic and my tactic is harsh. weak minds would find it easier to simply claim that i have a bad attitude than really offer truth.

Alright Makosoto, so you have said several times all the V6er's should have just bought GT's.. So no need to mention it, or throw hints towards it anymore.. Just focus on the task at hand, which is the V6 Stang.. If someone desires 600HP, you can kindly advise them that they may need to change the rear-end and tranny.. But other than that, no need to beat a dead horse.. Most people with V6's didnt want GT's at the time of purchase.. Take me for example.. There was a red GT 5SPD, that I test drove the same day I bought my car.. It was nice, but I was actually more impressed with the V6's.. Now granted, my initial goal was to buy the V6, and get it supercharged.. During that time period at the dealership, I didnt have a chance to think about all the other little things such as the tranny, rear-end, swaybars, bushings.. I was basically just going for the feel of the car..

But actually, with my blower project the power range I desire is set at a level where I should be able to beat a stock GT, but save the stock components.. The setup I am going with has the ability to deliver 425RWHP, but this will require that I invest in engine internals, the rear-end and tranny.. In the short term, I dont need 425RWHP.. Just give me anything over 300RWHP and I'll be happy..

So in the end, the point of this particular thread, is to get a V6 Mustang to 300HP on the cheap.. Allow enough power to beat a stock GT, but not enough to break things.. This is an appealing situation for the average V6 owner.. It is well understood that the GT, overall is the absolute best buy, in regards to all ready to go performance attributes, thus the name designation.. But the V6, is one hell of a nice ride man.. With a blower pushing it up to the GT level, for under $3000 bucks you cant really complain about it.. This is power wise.. The suspension components, rear-end and tranny would push the price of the car to more than just buying a GT.. Thus the reason the GT is the better buy between the two.. But we dont need to be reminded of this evey 6 or 7 post.. Most of us will be happy with alittle more power..

Saying your genius doesn't make it so.

For anyone to assume that they are 100% correct in everything they say, is not only the height of hubris, it's also quite immature. You may feel you are "educating us ignorant masses" and believe that everything you say is correct, but that just isn't the case. Further, you certainly don't demonstrate much tact or diplomany in your responses. Sometimes, it's not what you say but how you say it that matters.

p.s. i dont expect anything. i simply offer.

Yeah, you *keep* selling, but nobody's buying ...

i think "duh" pretty much covers this one.

For anyone to assume that they are 100% correct in everything they say, is not only the height of hubris, it's also quite immature.

don't believe i even gave that implication. most of what i say is accurate because i put a lot of thought into just about everything i do. sure, i screw up all the time but when i offer advice on cars 99 times out of a hundred its accurate because i know my material cause i've put both thought and action into every mod for my car.

furthermore, you people are totally ignoring the fact that i like the new V6 platform and have even defended it within this very forum which pretty much proves me to be correct in the basic assumption that you guys just wanna believe what you want to believe.

so instead of venting your frustrations on me why don't you start seeing if the GT axle is a direct swap over? that would take care of your LSD and rear end strength prob cause the 7.5 is crap (otherwise i'd just throw a 302 in my ranger).

Enlightened? You are THE person to talk to about all things mechanical? You have a couple good points, but I'm willing to bet you aren't enlightened. You seem more like a know it all.
Also, I wouldn't call your "attitude realistic and your tactics harsh". I'd call it more of an ******* approach. If you want to be taken seriously, start acting like a reasonable adult.

Slightly off topic but has anyone thought of getting up to 300 hp without supercharging? It can be done but would require replacing the heads, cam and/or intake. This is something I plan on doing at some point after my warranty expires. I personally don't need to beat a GT or Corvette or Cobra or any other car in that class any time soon. Not until the car is paid off anyway.

As long as I perform better than a Neon SRT-4 I'll be happy, I got cut off very rudely by one when I was trying to merge onto the Capital Beltway here in DC a couple of months back. As soon as I started accelerating and turned on my blinker to merge onto the Beltway he floored it and wouldn't let me me in, an SRT-4 is faster than my V6. He was a little ways behind and to the right of me when I turned on my blinker with plenty of room for me to move in. He was just being a jerk. Well now I've declared war against the SRT-4. I figure 300 horses should be enough to outperform one. If not then in another four years it will, it'll be paid off by then.

When my car is paid off though I'm going to change the engine internals with forged parts, replace the tranny and rear end then supercharge it... finances permitting. Should get me to at least 400 horses.

I didn't get a GT because I refused to pay a dealership $3000+ just for the privilege. Besides, I didn't have that kind of money anyway. At least now I can work on my car as I can afford it and some day it will be a great performer. Yes, I could trade it in a few years down the road for a GT but heck, working on it is half the fun.

Personally, I would much rather a Porsche. :hail2:

SRT-4's can be a handful for GT's also, they weigh quite a bit less...
So just aim for the GT power level, and you should be able to bark back at the SRT-4.

Makoto,

You lost the whole lower portion of my post. If you continue from here, your 23rd year of life, with these same interpersonal skills, you are seeking failure. Placing someone in the proverbial headlock and jamming your point of view down someone's throat will not produce your desired response.

You want you viewpoint to be acknowledged as valid and correct. We all do. I have spent 10 more years than you correcting my delivery skills to achieve desired results. I have also learned when to throw in the towel.

I apologize if I placed you on the defensive by indicating your 3 posts were similiar to how you have interacted with us. Try something for yourself. When you come across a thread that you feel you can add valid content, or seek to change someone's mind. Phrase your opinions in the form of questions. Instead of the first joked response of bolting on a T56, ask it. Have you guys looked into swapping out the T3650 with a T56? Ideas, presented in questions, do a couple things, they make people think, and they are receptive to your ideas.

Your current delivery produces a brick wall affect. You come on strong and we all throw up our shields.

I do not ask for you to conform to the masses. HELL NO. I NEVER HAVE and NEVER WILL. But, I have learned to manipulate delivery of known information to my intended recipient so that they are open and will consider what I have to say.

Hey, some people once thought the world was flat and that we could never reach verticle thrust sufficient to break the atmosphere and look where we are today. We do not have all the answers. To close your mind to other people's information and dreams will do nothing BUT neglect the fundamental development of your brain.

You are a smart young man. No doubt about it. You are to be commended for reengineering a POS 1990 S13 into a freakin' wonder machine and you have valid points and much to offer. Welcome to the family, as dysfunctional as it is. Just go easy my friend.

OKAY - Back on topic - If we can to discuss the making of a 300+ HP V-6 without S/C why don't we make a new thread and leave this to MSPs original dream? I'm game.

Thats is a good idea Jenns05Stang!! If we can somehow get some concrete steps and a path laid down for 300HP without Supercharging, that would be a great idea.. Off the top, these fundamental steps could be used by me after my goal has been completed.. But the bottom line is, it should be laid out so we can see the difference in cost.. You know what I mean?

Lets say, going the SC route will cost you $2000, provided you do your own installation.. So lets take the same engine, and pursue a somewhat similar goal of 300HP but doing it through engine upgrades and careful attention to which parts are altered.. WOW!! That would be one interesting thread...

Lets do this Jenns05Stang, you go ahead and make the thread.. I'll add my contribution after its up.. What I'll do, is check with a world renowned "Head" shop later.. I'll get a price for a port and polish of the heads.. But with that, we need to understand the heads.. I mean, why rebuild them with the same parts.. I have not checked, but are these heads Roller-Rocker, or Flat tappet? I mean we need to know what they are, to know how to rebuild them once the heads are ported and polished.. Or we could just port and polish and put'em back together.. You have just created a good thread Jenns05Stang! I'll check on a price later for just a port and polish. But this may only be good for about another 30-50HP with an SCT tune behind it.. So if we use 40HP as a baseline, this leaves us with another 50HP to go.. You get the idea.. LOL!! Actually, I think most of you are right in that 300HP may not be so hard to get to afterall.. LOL!! Maybe we have the threshold to low.. Maybe we should aim for 350HP.. LOL! Lets get to 300HP first, and see where the path leads.. :nice:

You know, at some point, we need to all get ahold of the book for our engines.. The official Ford 4.0 SOHC Book.. We are totally in the dark with this engine really.. Its really obsured! ...

Anyone know if our cam is Hydraulic or not?

my abrassive nature is in no way accidental. none of you have the necessary equipment to make offend me, so don't worry about that.

i offer truth. if people are so arrogant as to neglect my view despite the well known facts i offer that's their problem.

The well known facts that you speak of, are already known details that eveyone is aware of..

What you must understand, is mostly everyone considering these types of mods will eventually install the best of the best at some point in regards to HP stressed components.. But no one is willing to buy it all at once.. Piece by piece, step by step is the joy in doing this..

So in that, I welcome your input as long as it is based on the above afformentioned concept.. No need to tell us what we already know..

So with our newfound understanding, lets also get the motor to 300HP N/A.. Lets focus on this for awhile.

MSP, in regards to S/C with a boost level of 8-9 lbs would not require an intercooler but would there be any benefit to intercooling at that boost level? I've seen S/C's for the 3.8L V6 in previous Mustangs that were intercooled but they were also set up for 14 lbs of boost. I don't read much about intercooling S/C's with boost levels under 10 lbs. Is this because the heat increase is not significant enough to warrant an intercooler or that it's just not cost effective for what little benefit it would give? I don't know much about S/C's but am learning as I do someday plan to S/C mine, probably when it's paid off.

The M90 Supercharger in the Thunderbird SC was setup with an Intercooler from the factory.. I have read that it delivered 14lbs of boost.. This may have been on the high side or stock I'm not sure.. But in that car it delivers 230HP, and 300ft. lbs of TQ.. You can only imagine what it will do for ours.. We are basically all new to the SC in relation to our Stangs.. In time we shall discover the secrets contained within our cars..
