I can't offer an opion on hand stripping a car, I've never done it. I did have my 73
Media blasted (with a soda medium like the eastwood product) so I can show you some results. Just some info about Soda blasting 1) It dose NOT dig out rust, it will just reveal it. 2) A car will take 8 or so hours to complete. Fig about 150 an hour. This gives you an idear about how much$$$. 3) The car will have to be power washed thourghly with a chemical solvent (The blast company will provide at an additional expense, about 30 for a gal jug) to remove all the soda from the nooks and granies. This MUST be done!! If not you will be bleading soda for ever! This will also protect the bare metal from any rust for about 30 days, so you wont have to put the car into primer right away.

snad blasting will warp

sand blasting will warp but if you want to have it blasted you cna use bakeing soda or walnut shells and they wont warp I used to do body work for a living and I sugest you have it blasted because in my expearance wit hrust if you dont get it all it WILL COME BACK find some one who dose media blasing on cars alot and they should know waht media will work best
