i really figured hayabusa's revved higher than they do. my 06gsxr 600 goes to 16k before it redlights, i figured the 1300 would do the same and i thought itd have digital gauges like the rest by now. o well sweet bike

Nice bike, you'll really like the Busa. It's a good idea to follow the break in procedure in the owners manual and also you may notice a bit of engine vibration around 80mph, not to worry it's normal and in time you won't even notice it anymore.
Just for the record, I currently have two friends that have went out and bought 1000cc+ sportbikes and have never crashed or dropped their bikes [ one of them is a pilot too] neither have I in the 20 years I've been riding on the street. If a person uses their head and pays attention to what they are doing they will be fine. There are many many tricks to staying safe out on the road, do some research, take as many track day courses [take one and you'll see what I mean] and never ever trust anyone in a car to obay the rules of the road.

Smaller engines can rev higher than larger engines do to less reciprocating mass. Nope, no digital gauges, which is a good thing as far as the tach goes as digital tach's suck. It does have a digital display for the odometer, dual trip meters and current/average fuel milage.

lol i like my digital tach its pretty sweet lol and digital speedos are fun too cause u get to watch the computer try to count real fast to keep up with the acceleration. And yes ur right about the smaller engines revving higher my 636 is also 16k before the limiter.

I like the 636, more torque than a 600 and they really scoot when flogged
My only complaint with the digital tach is that I find it difficult to read on bright sunny days, normal driving it doesn't much matter but when I'm racing I need to be able to see the tach. Heck Id be happy with the digital tach if they also had a nice bright shift light.

Honestly man, my heart sank as soon as I saw the "GSX1300R" on the book.

I beg you PLEASE to keep EVERYTHING we said in mind...you really don't know how dangerous that bike is. You only have a small idea from the power so far.

Seriously...I wish you the best of luck. Please please please be careful. I'm sorry that I could not yet congradulate you on the bike. They will come in due time.
