I in the middle of replacing my water pump on my car and the right outside bolt next to the water passage broke with about 1/2 inch sticking out of the block.

How should I go about getting it out? Its all corroded/rusty and I don't want to make it any worse.

bolt

first try to spray some wd down in the threads then clamp some vise grips on there with a good bite try to work it back and forth easily and see if it moves and if it moves any at all just keep working it back and forth just make shure you dont force it and break it off just take it easy and increase the force a little as you go and it should come out.JUST BE CAREFULL TAKE IT SLOW AND WORK IT BACK AND FORTH

I got the broken bolt out with a pair of vise grips and lots a penetrating oil and patients.

Im glad I also bought the thread chasers cause there was a lot of crap that came out.

Im going to start assembly tomorrow.
