This is the route I'm taking. PI heads and intake manifold, mac long tube headers and shorty offroad H pipe. 4.10 ring and pinion, subframe connectors, steeda tri-ax, and vt stage 1 cams. maybe next summer some N2O, upper tb, plenum, and an aluminum driveshaft. I would atleast go with the intake manifold in your setup if your admint on not changing the heads. :D Good Luck!!!

you have a link for renegade racing? I was aware that they got good flow from npi's but not 225. The most I remember reading about was @212 and i think they were done by steen racing.

Renegade racing does not have a web-site. His NPI's intake and coolant ports are PI matched and that is where the extra few CFMs come from.

not very good! I've seen these mods on PI gt's make more HP!!! so I totally believe its the NPI intake. more air=more power :)
 
they want to get 300rwhp and stay completely NPI and NA before they go with the power adder down the road.....I don't think so....but i have to give them props for not sugar coating the numbers and adding these parts to a ringer dyno motor...this was a real 96 that was stock. Damn my car was slow when I bought it....lol

yes you can run a blower with a pi swap, if you just change the intake then the compression doesn't change. I know alot of guys running reasonable amounts of boost on full PI swaps with good tunes. You just cant go crazy with that 10.5:1 or so compression.

My only regret is i wish i had lower compression because i want to go blower. I have a 5.0 stroker on order from VT right now to change all that. If you are going to stay NA i would think about going PI. After seeing the ports on my old NPI vs my new heads there is no contest. The new outflow the old way more. A guy with the SVO heads dyno before me with almost my same mods and he dynoed only 255rwhp on a Mustang Dyno. I dynoed 267 with my new set up, stock unported PI's with VT stage 2's. On the Dyno Jet mine put down 293rwhp.

you'd need a tune for cams to run good
:stupid: While some people will disapprove of the nitrous route, it is the quickest easiest way into the 12's, while still leaving you with the stocker's reliability and fuel mileage.

Edit: If you want to keep the NPI heads, getting them ported and swapping in some cams and a PI intake and then an NX nitrous system would be a relatively easy way to get great results.
