C4 transmission worth it?

Greetings, I came up on a toploader 4 speed from 1972 and now have a c4 tranny sitting. Is it a desirable tranny? If I sell it how much should I ask for ? It never ran because it came with a project.

the C4 is a good transmission for a variety of used. however most are worth what ever the current core charge is, unless it has been properly rebuilt or modified.

they make great transmissions for the strip, or street use.

I wouldn't run anything other than the C4; no modulator, reverse valve body, non comp 1st gear, stainless splines, 2800 stall. It shifts bloody fast!
