Calling all people with an o/r h or x pipe

Ok, for everyone who has an o/r pipe, where did you install yours. I know most of you install them yourselves but for people who didn't, what shops would do it for me? Would a local gas station shop do it, also how much would they charge. I don't have a lift and all the necessary equipment and knowledge, that's why i'm not doing it myself. Also if you live in Northern VA, typically in Loudoun County or Fairfax and are willing to do it for me I'd GREATLY appreciate it.

It's really not that hard if you want to do it yourself. Just throw the car up on jackstands and go at it. Otherwise any exhuast shop will do it for you.

Any muffler shop should take care of it.

Dude I thought you said you had a Sunoco lined up for the job. You can bring it over to my shop and I'll only charge you $50. They are illegal and muffler shops won't touch them unless you pay them $$$ on the side.

This is really one of the easiest installs to do on your car. All you need is a jack, a couple stands, some sockets and extensions. Most shops won't touch it, because, as mentioned before, its illegal. If you get caught with it on and you had a shop put install it for you, the shop can get fined also.

Yeah I do have a Sunoco that might do it for me. But now I'm starting to think they he won't because he's pretty strict.

Shop should charge you 50 bucks tops, then you slip the guys a little tip or as the case is when I get my car inspected, a case of Sammy Adams Boston Ale. Its gotta be the Ale though, not the lager. The lager is no good.

if I had a trickflow street heat intake and mac o/r pipe and flowmaster mufflers, what would happen to the torque as compared to the stock numbers...would my low end torque disappear and become high end horsepower or would I improve my low end torque and increase hp???

mosts shops wont do it becaise it has no cats, just take an hour of your saturday and put it on, its not that hard.

Dang 50 bucks gahh got mine done by friend that is a ford mechanic who also did tune up (plugs,wires,dist.cap,rotor cap,pcv,and fuel filter) also did my brakes and put my prochamber of all for 60 bucks.

i got mine put in the first time at a mechanic shop. but after that i took it off and put it back on for inspection. yea it can be a bitch, but it is still fun.

i say save the 50 bux that everyone is saying to spend and invest it into some jackstands and basic socket wrenches and u should have that thing on in no time..its as simple as that

My Dr. Gas X-pipe came in like 7 different pieces so installing it myself wasnt an option. However a friend of a friend owns an exhaust shop and his guys put it on for free. They just scoffed when we brought up them getting in trouble for putting it on.

It's pretty easy to do, however, that is only if its not rusty as hell like mine was. It was all a torch job, melted the whole damn thing off practicly. I snaped a H-pipe to header bolt(even when glowing orange hot) and was screwed for a while. This was at my auto school i went to, and i was trying to sneak it on without getting caught by my instructors. I drove it like that for a few months till i put on new headers and sealed up the exhaust leaks left by the broken bolts. plus i couldnt find a person in all of columbus who would do it for me

:OT:

I didn't know they sold a boost cooler for the S-Trims for the 94 cars. Did you do some custom work to get it on there? Is it like the Aftercooler box that Vortech offers on the 87-93's?
