Hey guys, I'm going to be installing ported npi heads and MHS stage 2.5 npi cams (and supporting mods) on my 98 gt, well not me, my Uncle is haha. But he lives in Austin and I stay here in Houston. My question is, would it be safe for me to drive back home (about 3.5 hours) with out a tune? Or should I try to find a reputable tuner in Austin and get a tune there..

I've tried searching already but haven't had any luck..

Oh and my plan was to get it tuned as soon as i got to houston. I just didn't want to spend X amount of money to get a tune in Austin, and then spend more money getting another tune in Houston after I add other performance parts, when I could have just payed 100 bucks for a retune

Should be fine as long as you are on the stock injectors and MAF sensor.

Yea I'm keeping those stock for now, but do you suggest switching over to 24 lb injectors before I tune it?? Or would the stock ones be good??

Stock ones should be fine, although it will be getting closer to their limits. If you get a different set, wait until you get to the dyno to install them. The car will not run correctly if the injectors are different than the ones the computer thinks it has.
