Cam and heads, the next step

This has probably been asked several times, and so on, but I've been reading and still trying to understand what works with what and so on..............

Okay, I plan within the next month or two (would be this month but the wife and I are going on vacation and have to have spending money...LOL) plan on adding a cam and heads to the good ole 5.0. It already has Headers, and I've got a GT40 intake that I want to put on, but kind of wanted to wait to see If I'm gonna go with heads. I've been told a E or F303 is a good cam with stock heads, but If I plan on changing heads what combo should I go with? I've heard people say go with GT40 heads???? :shrug: Wouldn't a set of after market aluminum heads be the best way to go???? :shrug: just want to know what would be a good setup, Its about a every other day driver, but I still want her to shake and talk smack, but still be driveable.

Anyway fill me in on your thoughts, setups, combos, etc. When I'm ready, I'd really just like to order the rest of the parts at one time to get it done over one weekend :D
 
I second the combo... the E303 cam will cause surging unles syou kick the idle up to 1000rpms... I have the TFS Street Intake and the TFS TW heads on a E303 and I can smoke my low profile 17" tires through 2 gears and get them to break for 5 seconds in 3rd on dry pavement... not bad for a daily driver that pulls 19 mpg city.
