can i make 94-up rear pads work with my cobra rear rotors?

i just got some cobra rear brackets,and rotors.i dont have cobra pads.i just put new expensive rear gt disc pads on my car.can i grind down my pads to fit the cobra rotor or wait till their worn out some?is the thickness the only difference with cobra rear pads?

Yes, the cobra pads are just thinner, either sand them down on a surface, or buy new ones
