The stopping power of my 02 GT (21K miles) is just not as good as my wife's 01 GT (35K miles). Not sure if the 01 ever had it brakes worked on since we bought it 'pre-owned', but the pedal on the 01 is firmer, and braking power is better. Is there anything I can do besides taking it into a brake shop to have it checked out? I can't believe the brakes are already gone at 21K miles? Thanks!

Thanks KJ - I can't believe their gone already, so I kinda agree with your thinking that bleeding them may help. The hot, humid weather here in Florida can be tough on brake systems. Now, do you know where can I get a leech to bleed the brakes? :rlaugh:

Let it bleed

pedal firmness is mostly brake fluild "braking" down, If its brown at ALL, its time for a bleed, its a simple two person process. Or with speed-bleeders its a one person deal.
Thanks for the advice - sounds like a bleed is what I need. I basically understand the process, but have never done it before...any advice, tips, etc? My wife is always willing to help when working on the Stangs... :D
