The passenger side of the cat back keeps rubbing/hitting the control arm. It also bottoms out of the frame when I go over a large bump. Exhaust includes: mac equal length header, catco catalytic h pipe, mac cat back. I know the catco pipe is junk, but thats besides the point. Everything was fine with the mac off road h pipe, but as soon as I put on the catco pipe, I had no clearance on either side. It bottomed out on both sides of the cat back, and rubbed the control arms on both sides.
I spent a long long time trying to get some clearance, and fiannly got the driver side to clear both the frame and the control arm. No matter what I do, I cant for the life of me get the passenger side to clear. Ive tried, adjusting/removing the h pipe, using a screwdriver as a spacer while i tightened everything up, moved all the rubber bushings on the hangers.

Does anyone else have any tricks? Ive thought about denting the cat back in where it rubs, but I dont wanna mess up a perfectly good exhaust. Ive also thought about griding down the lip of the control arm that its resting on, but I dont wanna ruin what little structural integrity there is in stock control arms.

My friend put a MAC catback on his 04 and is experiencing the same thing you are. Every bump and it slams into the axle housing, frame, whatever. He hates it and plans to take it off soon and put some flows on it welded in. I just put a o/r H by MAC on my 99 yesterday and had not one fitment issue. I know these are not foxes BUT same type situation. Maybe other members have had the same issues and can provide a resolution.
