Center Caps

I'm not really finding an answer for this. I have bullitts with ranger axles, so obviously the center caps don't fit in the front. Is there a way to make them fit without different spindles? I've read you can hammer the dust cover, but I don't really like to just hammer on different things on my car...I'd assume there'd be adverse effects. Correct me if I'm wrong.

You could try cleaning out the inside of your dust cover and applying some clay. Then reinstall, remove and see how much room you have to work with. Kinda like checking PTV clearance. I've never done this, just and idea. I would be real careful about the posibility of pushing clay down inside the bearing assembly.

I don't like the idea of hammering stuff either, but I will say that I have seen/run dust caps that had been pushed in so hard you could see the outline of the spindle nut in the cap! LoL
It's one of the parts on the car that can take a hammering without too much drama. It is just a dust cap afterall. Keeps dirt out, grease in, nothing else.
