I need some advice- My concern is that I do not want my new engine running rich and damaging it .

WAS - Vortech ,60lb injectors -speed density, GT40P heads,GT40 intake- no maf - not using AFR guage. Ran rich all the time.

New - TFS top end kit, brand new rebuilt engine -24 lb injectors, MAF

Would it be better to find a base map tune and go from there - rather than try to figure out and find all the items the Previous owner changed.?

Either way. you're starting almost from scratch. TS allows you to store multiple projects. It could be that the OLD has a good startup tune where the NEW might not.
BTW, you can keep the MAF & use it in conjunction with the onboard MAP sensor.

Upload your current tune. Give it another name instead of Current Tune.

I have the Megasquirt PNP2 .

I took off the top cover to get these numbers.

EEC4A-V!-1, on the circuit board it says MSPNP2 V!-3A

We know what this is: Megasquirt PNP2
They all use the Microsquirt Module (the white circuit board), which is MS2.

If you know what the MAF & housing is, you can use the calibration data as a start.
Don't care what the sensor is, all the 4-wire ones are the same.
What is the housing, C&L?

From the '93 Cobra?
Calibration curve is available for these. If I don't have it, Steve might.
I think it's a 60 or 65mm housing instead of the 55mm
Also, what are the 24 lb injectors? Also from the '93 Cobra?

1993 Cobra Mass Air Meter!!!

I have a 1990 LX 5.0 w/ 19lb injectors with a 65mm Throttle Body, Headers, X Pipe, and exhaust and Underdrive pullies with 3.73 rear. Will it be a good Idea to use a Cobra 70mm Mass Air Meter calibrated for 19lb injectors? Will I see any horsepower with this mass air meter?
www.stangnet.com
I don't have the curves for that one.

Actually, it's 3-1/2 in. OD, as are all of them. You have to measure the ID at the small end.
It's 70mm.
The Cobra was specific to the Cobra ECU, but since you have an MS, it doesn't matter.

My engine block is still in the machine shop. It will be at least next weekend before i'm ready to start it. I just did not want to wait until last minute.

Given that your new configuration is so different from the old configuration, I'd start from scratch with the tune that came with the MSPNP2. Your current firmware is 3.3.1, upgrade to 3.4.2 before proceeding further.

I thought MS PNP2 were speed density (vacuum line to the MS box) not MAF.

Thats the thing, they can be configured to run anyway you want them too... MAF, MAP, Alpha-N [throttle based], and any blend of these you can think of.
