I was in the mood to work on something lol. I swapped out the gear only took like 10 minutes (including jacking the car and puting in axle stands) I took the 17 tooth white gear out and the thing look like new I was expecting it to be all chewed up. Anyway's I put the black 20 tooth in and greased the U-joints while I was under there and looked a few things over. I also marked the D/S and spun the tire 360* and made sure the D/S spun 3.55 times and it did.

Took the car for a ride and WOW I might get a ticket now lol. Before the speedo gear swap at 2000 RPM's the speedo said I was doing 100 KPH (60 MPH) and now with the proper gear at 2000 RPM's I am doing about 88-90 KPH. I always new it was out but didn't think it would be that much.

Anyone need a 17 tooth white speedo gear......

if it's steeda, then yes, you need white. i just did one on my friends 94 with 3:73's and tribars (and it called for the "white one" from steeda, though i think it may have been a 23 tooth, or mabye im just a senial old man)

Now if you really want to change the internal drive gear of your manual tranny you can match it according to the table below. Be aware that the 6 tooth will offer the most combos for numerically higher gear ratios and offer the greatest degree of accuracy. The 6 tooth gear selection table for a manual tranny is the first in the page.

All has to do with tire height, not wheel size. You will probably need the 21 tooth gear, as mentioned by 795.0pacecar.

According to this calculator thing, that's a 25.68" tire height, which is close to stock.
