65 fastback right now body metal is mostly stock. i really wanted to keep the cars interior apperance stock looking. so im steering away from a cage. my friend is a master fabricator if a cage is a must he will custom make a 4-6pt stainless cage that should not be in the way too much. car will be mostly used for show and street driving w/ occassional race when one presents itself hehe. it is a street car, i wont be using slicks or dragradials, so it wont be subject to hard launches. i need the body to be able to handle 650-700 + hp and i have no idea what brands styles of subcages work well and what ever mods are available. all metal on car is new, frames, entire floors, wheel wells, rockers, trunk torque box, etc. car is as solid as new (or better). i read that adding front torque boxes helps. i need to get this figured out before car gets painted (any parts welded on car will be media blasted n painted with car) i see alot of aftermarket out there. also will be using solid motor mounts and urethane trans. the tcp complete kit looks nice but look like it may interfere with exhaust. what about the maier racing subs look really long and weld to multiple points on both ends of frame. who has used what and how does it work ?
