i am in desperate need of new brakes and i am wanting to get the cobra brake upgrade for my car on all corners. please post the places that you have found with the cheapest price. thanks

Not more than an hour ago, I placed an order with Performance Parts, Inc. for a complete Cobra brake upgrade. Here's the prices and packages:

1. Cobra 10th Anniversary front kit $399
Description: Cobra 10th Anniversary front 13" brake kit, includes 2 red "COBRA" brake calipers with mounting brackets, front brake pad set, 2 brake hoses with banjo bolts and washers, and 2 Brembo brake rotors

2. Cobra 10th Anniversary rear kit $389
Description: Cobra 10th Anniversary rear 12" brake kit, includes 2 red Cobra brake calipers, 2 caliper mounting brackets, 2 anti-moan brackets, rear brake pad set and 2 Brembo brake rotors

3. Stainless Steel braided hoses $80

I got the whole thing for about $950 with shipping. You won't need any other parts. Some people suggest a Cobra master cylinder, but many more don't use it and are fine. My local shop says to keep the GT m/c, as most of their customers prefer it that way.

I've seen a couple places with slightly better prices, but PPI offers OEM parts and they are highly recommended by others here.

Can't wait to get them installed! I'm also installing a new set of 03/04 Cobra front control arms while I'm at it. This should compliment my current mods well.

A little FYI- the cobra,bullit,mach1 calipers are all the same. One being black the other red nad the last bare.

I bought my mach 1 calipers brand new on ebay for $172. I bought the red caliper paint and painted them myself. I already had stainless brakelines so no new cost there. New banjo bolts from local dealer $18. I then bought brand new 13" brembo cross drilled and slotted rotors from ebay $150. (they didn't match the baers so I bought new baer rotors for the front 279 they match the rears now) Baer brakes make a rear caliper kit that comes with new rotors 13" brakets to move the stock calipers outward for $229. The car stop wickedly fast now for around the same price as those kits. But the rear setup I think is better just my opinion.
