What disturbs me the most is that someone who would have the time, money and (ahem..) skill to do something like that is, at the same time, unable to understand how ridiculous and garish it is. As far as I'm concerned, that vehicle has only three uses:
1) A business/commercial promotional vehicle that you could roll around town in and display at shows...with your COMPETITORS' names painted all over it (and you'd STILL be able to write the whole thing off as a "business expense");
2) Market it "offshore" and convince someone over there with more money than brains that this car is on the cutting edge of the latest that American style has to offer...
3)Fully document and account for all of your inputs (time, money etc.), come up with a total, slap an additional 50% on top of that and have it appraised and then "sell" it to a friend who, conveniently, ends up having the car burn down to the ground....
